Word from Jerusalem November/December issue

November/December edition

In this edition of the Word from Jerusalem magazine, we look back at what the ICEJ has been able to accomplish during this very challenging year in Israel.

Thanks to your generous donations, the Christian Embassy was able to greatly impact communities across the Land of Israel through our numerous aid relief work during this time of war. This included providing food and support for evacuated families, supplying emergency response equipment and protective gear, caring for the needs of Holocaust survivors, providing medical equipment, delivering portable bomb shelters and renovating existing underground community shelters, supporting trauma care in various ways, offering ‘hands-on’ service opportunities for Christians, and many other projects which you can read about inside. As the war seems to be winding down, we are now helping Israeli border communities near Gaza to start rebuilding their lives. This will include our funding of activity centers for their children and elderly residents in the hard-hit communities of Kibbutz Be’eri and Kfar Aza.

We also share four heart-touching stories of Heroes and Survivors from October 7 last year, and how some ICEJ branches around the globe gathered to stand in solidarity with Israel as they commemorated the one-year anniversary of that tragic day.

ICEJ Senior Vice President & Spokesman David Parsons gives an insightful Bible Teaching on ‘The Spirit and the Craftsmen’. Discover the Hebrew meaning of the word “craftsmen” and read how Zechariah’s visions give hope and encouragement about where Israel is today.

Plus, read about the ICEJ’s incredible Feast of Tabernacles gathering held this Succot, which was the largest solidarity mission to Israel since the war began. Many participants said there was a unique intimacy at this year’s Feast, both with the Lord and with each other, and this extended to the many Israelis we encountered. We were so encouraged by the strong presence of God and the special grace and unity throughout the gathering.

We are truly thankful for your support throughout 2024. Please continue partnering with us as we assist the people of Israel in overcoming the many challenges that still lie ahead. Through our Christian love and support, they will know they are not alone.

Blessings to you and your family as you read through our Word from Jerusalem magazine.
